It is feedback such as yours that inspires the team and me to constantly strive for excellence and to make sure that our guests leave the island with fond memories. Regarding your feedback about the snorkeling, we regret that you are not happy about it. Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives is based on the Emboodhu Channel which has some fantastic diving and snorkeling sites within the range of 25 kilometers. We have also aggressively started our coral rejuvenation programme where in we are planting coral trays to attract more marine life into our lagoon. Coral propagation is an important part of the effort to increase the biodiversity of the reefs. We currently have 36 frames and are hoping to increase them to many more as they will also attract several new species including Hawksbill Turtle, juvenile Napoleon Wrasse and Moray Eels. Being in Maldives, where almost all commodities have to be imported and air freighted and Tourism is almost the only source of income for the country, resorts and it’s services attract high custom import duties which are up to 200%. Hence you will find the prices are higher than most other parts of the world. However I would like to assure you that our products and services are priced at par with other five star luxury resorts in Maldives and we still constantly endeavor to see how we can give highest and best quality products at best prices by bringing in cost efficiency.
