Ein ruhiges Hotel für Leute, die einfach nur entspannen möchten. Nach einem anstrengenden Wandertag warten Pool, Jaccuzzi und Türkisches Bad, oder man geht noch ein paar Schritte in dem hübsch angelegten historischen Park spazieren. Das Hotel wurde zum Zeitpunkt unseres Urlaubs ausschließlich von Paaren mittleren Alters (meist aus Deutschland) besucht, zu denen sich am Wochenende ein paar Portugiesen gesellten. Das Restaurant war gut, die Bedienung manchmal etwas vergesslich, aber immer freundlich. Leckeres Frühstücksbüffet! Einziger Nachteil: die lange und abenteuerliche Anfahrt über steile Straßen macht es nicht zum idealen Standort für Madeira. Trotzdem würde ich jederzeit wieder dort wohnen wollen - vor allem, nachdem ich die Touristenghettos von Funchal gesehen habe.

We are happy to inform you that the Hotel Quinta Jardim da Serra closed its doors in the end of the year 2012 and reopened as Hotel Quinta da Serra in July 2014. The hotel is completely refurbished and restored with a new ownership and management and a new gourmet Chef that offers an international and local organic cuisine with a contemporary twist. On this note we would like to let you know that the most of the difficulties and technical hitches the hotel had, were fixed, removed and taken care off. We had a 14 months period of hard work to reshape all the buildings and surroundings, and mainly the concept of the hotel, which has now a BIO and eco-friendly approach. Therefore I hope we can welcome you once again in a new Hotel Quinta da Serra and show you the glory, prestige and wellbeing of a new hotel.
