We had a very pleasant weekend break in Hamburg at the Baseler Hof. The location is perfect; central and easily accessible from the airport by public transport. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. We especially enjoyed our evening meals in the restaurant. Maitre D Sven speaks very good English, and suggested some very good wines to accompany good local dishes. We had intended to eat out in town, but enjoyed the experience on our first night so much that we we came back once more, and had an equally good time. Thank you!
