Aus DeutschlandWir waren bereits 9 mal auf den Malediven, allerdings würde ich diese Insel nicht für Familien empfehlen. Insel und hausriff sind prinzipiell schön, allerdings setzt man auf Villamendhoo auf Masse, mit viel zu vielen Strandbungallows und es gibt selbst bei den standalone villas keine Privatsphäre. (Abstand ca 1,5 m) Beim Schnorcheln stößt man immer wieder über Abwasserrohre, die teilweise nur 50-70 Meter vom Strand entfernt das Abwasser ins Meer lassen. Familien mit Kindern werden auf Vilamendhoo leider abgezockt. Man bekommt das Gefühl das Familien mit Kindern nicht wirklich erwünscht sind. Allerdings braucht man diese, da Familien das meiste Geld bezahlen. Wir hatten mit einen Walhaiausflug gebucht und das kleine Kind (4,5 Jahre) unserer Freunde musste den vollen Preis zahlen. Kinder dürfen den erwachsenen Bereich (Strandabschnitt) nicht durchlaufen. Wenn man ein Barbecue oder Essen am Strand für 200$ pro Person bucht, (wird im Erwachsenen Bereich gemacht)ist der Aufenthalt von Kindern im adult Bereich kein Problem. Der österreichische Resortmanager hatte uns nach einer Inselumrundung mit unseren Kindern ermahnt , das unsere Kinder dies nicht dürfen und wir sie entweder am Strand lassen sollen oder im Zimmer einschließen, da wir sie altersbedingt nicht alleine am Strand lassen können.

Service im Restaurant hat kaum funktioniert. Teller wurden nicht abgeräumt, Personal überfordert
