The negative comments in Sept 2006 surprise me....anyone who expects 5 star luxury for 70€ per person and night including halfboard is simply stupid. This is what my wife and I paid and it was worth every cent. Yes, the hotel is definitely not 5 star international standard, but it is a very charming, comfortable hotel. We had a room with a balcony facing the pool. It was beautiful; the charm of a Tuscany country villa, lush gardens, peace and quiet. Book a car! We will book this hotel again in 2007.

We had a normal garden-facing room with a balcony. The rooms is of a good size. The first impression of the white cane furniture is a bit tacky, but it is very clean. The maid washed the floor and and changed the sheets daily. Each room had bathrobes and we were welcomed with a bottle of red wine and a fruit basket. The hotel offers an empty minibar, which is accommodating for budget travellers.

The hotel has one restaurant with 4 main dining areas: 2 indoor areas, 1 veranda and 1 covered terrace. Unfortunately, the outdoor dining area is small and to get a table one has to dine fairly early (18:30) or later (20:00). The buffet was very good value for money: Dinner: soup, a large salad bar, a good selection of cold starters, selection of fish or meat and a dessert buffet with cakes, ice-cream and fresh fruit. The wine selection was adequate and fair. Red wines range from 13,50€ - 25€ for 0,75l. Breakfast: excellent breakfast buffet catering for the German palate; wide selection of breads, croissants, pastries etc. Cold meats and cheeses. Full english breakfast is also served.

The staff are VERY friendly. They may not be the most professional, but their friendliness and helpfulness make you feel at home. For all German travellers....try tipping the staff for good service...if you can afford to stay in this hotel, your should be able to afford to show your appreciation for good service. The staff were very accommodating with complaints. We were unhappy with the charge for the safe (35€ for 14 days) - our complaint was immediately accepted and the charge removed from our bill.

Central yet quiet. Within walking distance to Cala Rajada. The promenade is great for walks after dinner with many small cafes and bars. 100m from the hotel is a supermarket.

The fitness studio is ok. Sauna was pretty expensive (9€ per person) and therefore not used. The pool area did not look all that inviting, so we did not use it...anyway who flies to Mallorca to lie by the pool when you have the world's most beautiful beaches a stone's throw away? I missed free WLAN and had to resort to using the phone (26K analog connection).
