Wir haben 10 Tage in diesem Hotel verbracht und müssen sagen, dass es sich hierbei aus unserer Sicht um kein 5 Sterne Hotel handelt. Die einzigen positiven Punkte sind, dass es direkt am Strand ist und das Personal sehr nett und bemüht ist. Das Resort ist wirklich sehr groß. Je nachdem wo man das Zimmer hat, hat man lange Wege bis zum Hauptgebäude.
Total veraltet. Ausstattung entspricht keinem 5 Sterne Hotel. Zunächst haben wir ein Bungalow erhalten. Dieses lag sehr weit weg vom Hauptgebäude und war total veraltet. Aus dem Fenster haben wir quasi in einen Wald geguckt, obwohl wir um ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht hatten. Das Personal hat uns dann einen Wechsel in ein Doppelzimmer im Hauptgebäude ermöglicht. Wir hatten auf ein moderneres Zimmer gehofft, aber leider war die Ausstattung gleich. Im Zimmer und im Kleiderschrank war ein muffiger Geruch. Alte vergilbte Möbel. Um den Waschtisch herum waren Flecken. An der Badewanne waren leichte Schimmelflecken.
Im Hauptrestaurant „Cosmos“ war es extrem laut und hektisch. Es gab kaum Abwechslung. Salat alle 10 Tage gleich. Und auch die Hauptspeisen und Dessert immer das gleiche. Auch das Mittagsangebot im Almyra auch jeden Tag gleich. In einem 5 Sterne Haus erwarte ich originale alkoholische Getränke, stattdessen wurde irgendwas lieblos zusammen gemixt. Die Kellnerinnen an den Strandbars teilweise genervt bzw. man hatte das Gefühl einer Massenabfertigung. Ich habe kein Problem mit Katzen, allerdings sind diese seeehr aufdringlich und laufen beim Essen schonmal zwischen die Beine und um einen herum.
Grundsätzlich war das Personal sehr nett, aber teilweise in den Restaurants und Bars etwas überfordert.
Der Transfer vom Flughafen dauert weniger als eine Stunde. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand und an einer Einkaufsstraße.

It seems that in your case, this did not happen. As concerns your comments, we would like to assure you that we will take them into our consideration. Regarding your comment about the room, please be kindly informed that we perform, each winter, partial renovations and refurbishments of our resort, in order to offer an even better holidays’ experience year after year. All our rooms are built according to the Aegean Architecture and the design style of them is contemporary. Photos of each one of the room type offered are available, both on our website and the website and brochures of our cooperators. Moreover, please let us explain that according to your reservation you had booked a Deluxe Room with Mountain/Garden View, which as per our rooms descriptions (also available on our website) may be situated both in Main Buildings and the Bungalow area. Concerning the food offered, we offer a wide variety of dishes, which are prepared with fresh, high quality local ingredients following Cretan, Greek, Mediterranean and International cuisines in our restaurants, while our chefs are always happy to prepare any specific dishes, upon our guests’ requests. Moreover, please be kindly informed that the menu in our main restaurant only gets repetitive after two weeks, while there is an alternative to our main restaurant as restaurant Almyra, also offers Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (upon reservation) and Late Dinner. In addition, please let us note that in contrast with Northern Europe or America, where cats are expected to belong to someone or they are being sent to animal shelters, stray cats are regarded as a natural co-habitant in Greece. Lack of harsh winters and abundance of food makes it easy for them to survive outdoors and their greatest problems are cars and dogs. At Creta Maris, understanding the existing situation and observing that the cats’ population can easily get out of control, we decided to act. In the context of Creta Maris Beach Resort’s animal welfare program and in collaboration with the Animals in Distress Foundation in Netherlands, we took part in a TNR program (trap neuter return) of stray cats living at the premises of our resort. So far, many cats have already been neutered at the hotel's expense and are fed daily through 7 feeding points and all staff members urge guests not to feed them so they can be controlled.
