The hotel is located close to the French/Swiss border only few kilometres away from CERN, Geneva and Crozet. The hotel has been partly refreshed recently, however you notice easily that is not state of the art any more. It is a standard business / traveller hotel. The carpets would require a refresh or deep cleaning. The rooms are ok while the bathrooms are just below average. Free parking on the premises. The hotel is offering a free shuttle bus to Cern, companies in Meyrin and the airport. Looking for nicer hotels (at higher rates), I recomend to go to Geneva. There is an Italian restaurant next door. The pizza is quite ok.

During my last stay, I got an Executive room (spacious), however the table next to the bed was dirty, there were approx. 10 black hairs (not mine!) in the bath tub and bath room, so I did not feel too well. The room itself offers a coffee maker, flat screen tv, seperate wc and bath, wardrobe, mini bar. From the room, you can see the Jura mountains.

Breakfast costs 16 Euro and cannot be recommended if you are looking for a gourmet breakfast. It is rather basic. There is also a quick french breakfast with mainly croissant and coffee available for less than 10 Euro. Dinner has not been tested in the restaurant but is around 20 Euro per dish. Small bar serves cold drinks in th evening but without any atmosphere.

English at the reception is typically no problem. People are friendly. Room cleaning was exceptionally bad.

Lage & Umgebung

Located close to the Jura mountains. The hotel itself is located close to a main street around Saint Genis-Pouilly, however it takes approx. 20 min walking to downtown Saint Genis-Pouilly. The hotel is located at the edge of the village with nothing but an Italian restaurant around. The way to Crozet (ski area) is rather short and downtown Geneva is approx. 30 mins away. Geneva airport is approx. 25 mins away.
