Thanks for your review and we are sorry that you did not fully enjoy your stay with us. I did want to let you know that we have recently renovated the lodge and the tents are all now brand new. There are no longer any zips at the entrance to the tent as we have now installed wooden doors at the entrance to the tent and bathroom and have installed wonderfully big glass sliding doors leading out onto the large, shaded, private decks. These new tents are now almost double the size of the original ones and have a very modern and comfortable feel. Mosquitoes can be a problem in different parts of Namibia at different times of the year but with the new tents there is little chance of the little guys getting into the tent but we have still gone one step further and are busy installing mosquito nets over the beds. We have also done all these renovations without increasing our daily rate which makes us one of the best value for money lodges in Namibia. Charging a 50% deposit on booking is a standard practice in lodges in Namibia. I am very happy that you enjoyed our service offered at the restaurant as this is a very important element of the experience we try to offer our guests. Erongo Wilderness Lodge is a tented camp which is situated in the Erongo Mountains and this means that the lodge is not suitable for everyone but anyone that is looking for a good Namibian experience will love the way the lodge is in harmony with its environment.
