Ikaros Beach Luxury Resort & Spa - Adults Only

Overall we were quite pleased with the hotel and its services. We were afraid to book the location because of the near to Malia which is known as an Englander party town. However it is far away and was not even noticed. Food is great as is the beach and pools. We booked all inclusive and the food offered is a choice for everyone with different international items available. The house wine is quite drinkable, which was a surprise. Rooms - make sure you book a bungalow with a sea view. They have other bungalows that are facing inwards with balconies that are outside your front door. We arrived in extremely hot weather and the room they placed us, the air conditioner did not work well. We let it run for 3-5 hours to no avail. The only negative we have is that we had to discuss 4 times with the front desk. The engineer said it was operating in normal conditions, but we said NO WAY. All said and done, the receptionist moved us to a new room the next day and the AC was fine. They have a spa connected to the faculty with an indoor pool with a retractable roof and a fitness studio. We used the fitness studio everyday. The spa offers the standard fare e.g., facials, massages, etc. We had a few of these and they were nice. We really focused on a beach holiday to read and relax since we travel a lot professionally. It was a very nice hotel and the staff was very friendly. We have been to Crete three times in the last 2 years now and we would definitely return to this hotel.
