If you are vacationing in Germany and especially on the west side between Franfurt and France, you must visit the town of Cochem on the Mosel river. A nice tourist town with many shops, and a great wine region with excellent wine tasting. The best place to stay in Cochem is Villa Tummelchen at Schloss strasse 22. It has the best view in the city. One side is an unbelievable panarama overlooking the town and both directions of the Mosel. The otherside looks up to Reichsberg Castle. The service is great with amny extras. Breakfast, of course, but also in good weather they host a happy hour on their terrace. I loved drinking good German beer and looking over a beatuful landscape and the Mosel. A must stay. Dont miss Berg Elz. Enjoy the wine and the views up and down the river from the ancient roman city of Trier to the "German corner" Koblenz, were the Rhein and Mosel meet. The rooms are nice with many having excellent views as well. All rooms have TV and telephone. The room, Badroom, Toilette, Shower are nice and beautiful. Everyday very clean.

Cochem is very interesting with lots to do in the area as well. Many Castles are right by including Reichburg in Cochem.
