Großzügig gestaltete Anlage, die Bungalows sind teilweise jedoch nur nach Lage über viele Treppen und steile Wege zu erreichen.
Die Zimmer sind neu renoviert, jedoch unverständlicherweise anstatt einer Dusche mit Badewanne ausgestattet, in die man zum duschen hineinsteigen muß. Das Badezimmer schwimmt danach. Achtung : Zimmer im Haupthaus über dem Haupteingang Creta Maris (Land / Straßenseite) nicht empfehlenswert, da ab 04.00Uhr die ersten Transferbusse ankommen !
Die Küche verdient hier ein Sonderlob, welches bei der Größenordnung der angebotenen Speisen nicht immer selbstverständlich ist. Gerade noch tolerierbar für ein 5* Resort ist jedoch die Getränkeselbstbedienung. .
Positiv : Bei dem gesamten Personal ist eine natürlichen Freundlichkeit den Gästen gegenüber vorhanden. Es können nicht alle namentlich erwähnt werden, doch Marianne vom Guest Service oder Sandy und Valentine von der Reception haben diese namentlichen Nennung sich redlich verdient. Negativ : Das Resort hat jedoch anscheinend ein Managementproblem, z.B. wird zwar abends eine Kleiderordnung erwünscht, es gibt jedoch immer wieder Personen welche in Badekleidung und FlipFlops im Speisesaal unter den Augen der Restaurantleitung (schwarze Anzüge) ungehindert herumlaufen. Oder ein kleiner 5jähriger Junge matscht im Nachtischbüffet herum und der daneben stehende Oberkellner sieht einfach weg. Gleiches gilt für die Liegenreservierung. Die ersten Liegen werden um 07.00Uhr reserviert, obwohl an jedem Sonnenschirm ein Schreiben hängt, das Handtücher vor 09.00Uhr entfernt werden. Passiert jedoch nie.
Die Lage wäre gut, würde sie nicht direkt in der Einflugschneise des Flughafen Heraklion liegen. Morgens ab 06.00Uhr fliegen die ersten Flieger im Landeanflug direkt über dem Resort in ca. 1500m Höhe sehr hörbar an. Tagsüber reduziert sich der Lärmpegel zwar etwas, bedingt durch die allgemeine Lautstärke am Pool und Strand aber Abends kann man die Flugzeuge dabei beobachten, wie diese kurz vor erreichen der Küste die Landescheinwerfer anschalten und dann im Sinkflug über das Resort einschweben und das bis ca. 24.00Uhr im 20Minuten-Takt..

However, please allow us to offer you some explanations regarding the aforementioned points of your review. Concerning the regular passage of planes, please let us inform you that the resort is located 24km away from the airport. Since the airway pass by Hersonissos seaside, the aircrafts can be visible but still very high since the airport is 24km away. As regards the bathroom, please allow us to explain that all our rooms offer either bath or shower. In case the guest prefers shower instead of a bath, she/he has to state this as a request, during the reservation process, so we could offer it upon the resort’s availability. Moreover, as you did not enjoy the bathroom of your room, we hope you had informed our Front Office, so we could have tried to offer an alternative room. With regard to your comment about the dress code, we would like to clarify that it is applied, and our staff does its best in order for it to be implemented by all our guests. However, we promise to consider taking more actions to eliminate the aforementioned cases. Moreover, please allow us to clarify that it is inevitable that some areas of our resort, like our main swimming pool, will accommodate the majority of our guests. However, as Creta Maris Beach Resort is located in an area of 150,000 sq.m. and offers 6 different swimming pools with sunbeds and umbrellas, our guests can easily find a place to be accommodated in one more quiet area. Moreover, our pool attendants will be more than happy to assist you finding an available sunbed. Thank you once again for your feedback.
