The well-known stone path overlooking the sea where tourists will see whales in the season is only 200 m away and leads to the salt water swimming beach area. Our Championship Hermanus Golf Course is a mere 2km from the Guesthouse Port del Mar's rooms are tastefully furnished, with quality white linen and splashes of colour. The rooms have views of the garden and mountain and are serviced daily. Breakfast is served in the dining room, and it also has a lounge area with comfortable seating and a fireplace for the cold winter evenings. On the first floor, there is a private pub and lounge where guests can relax with friends. The hosts can make informed suggestions regarding restaurants, markets, shops and place reservations for great white shark diving and whale watching boat trips.

We can arrange any activity which may interest you - a trip on our famous whale boats (in season), shark cage diving, sea-kayaking, paragliding and mountain biking to name a few. As well as book a golf game for you at one of our nearby Golf Courses - Hermanus Golf Club or Arabella Our Hemel en Aarde wine farms are some of the best in the Western Cape. We will gladly arrange a wine tasting and pairing day for you during your stay. Approximately 30 minutes drive from the Guesthouse is the amazing Panthera Africa Big Cat Sanctuary. A visit will enlighten you on the unique personalities and heartfelt rescue stories of each of the big cats.
