Sensationell gute italienische Küche

Unser erster Abend in Downtown Los Angeles führte uns ins Drago Centro, gleich um die Ecke vom Millenium Biltmore Hotel. Die italienische Küche dort ist herausragend, der Service ebenso. Wir bestellten dort Pulpo, Mash Potatoes mit Trüffel und Ei sowie Lobster-Tagliolini ein butterzartes Kalbsfilet. Das ganze Flair des recht großen Restaurants mit Außenterrasse verströmt italienische Lebenslust, mittendrin ein riesiger Wein-Kubus aus Glas. Die Restaurantmanager sind extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit, wenn man sich nicht entscheiden kann, welchen der italienischen Genüsse man bestellen soll. Und die Weinkarte erst mal – wir hatten einen süffigen Nebiolo und einen schweren Barolo zu unseren Gerichten. Einfach himmlisch und vom Sommelier perfekt zu den Speisen ausgewählt. Fazit: Wir kommen wieder. Definitiv. Sensationally good Italian cuisine Our first evening in downtown Los Angeles took us to Drago Centro, just around the corner from the Millenium Biltmore Hotel. The Italian cuisine there is outstanding, as is the service. We ordered pulpo, mash potatoes with truffle and egg, and lobster tagliolini a butter tender veal tenderloin there. The whole flair of the rather large restaurant with outdoor terrace exudes Italian joie de vivre, with a huge glass wine cube in the middle. The restaurant managers are extremely friendly and helpful when you can't decide which of the Italian delights to order. And the wine list first - we had a quaffable Nebiolo and a heavy Barolo with our dishes. Simply heavenly and perfectly selected by the sommelier to accompany the dishes. Conclusion: We will be back. Definitely.
