Zwischen den Straßen Kon/nou Melenikou und Eth. Aminis befindet sich ein Teil der östlichen Stadtmauer, der einen parkähnlichen Grünstreifen bildet, auf dem verschiedene Denkmäler aufgestellt sind. Ein Denkmal ist dem Freiheitskämpfer Dimitrios Karatasos gewidmet, der als Anführer einer Gruppe christlicher Rebellen (Armatolen) von 1821 bis 1829 für die Freiheit Griechenlands von der osmanischen Herrschaft kämpfte.
