Personeel vriendelijk.

Dear Mr Marleen, Thank you for choosing Candia Maris Imperial for your family's vacation. We hope that your trip back home was pleasant and easy. Sorry for the delayed answer but i had to translate your comment in order to read it thoroughly and to be precise in my answer. About the beach... The beaches in Greece belong to the municipality. That means that nobody owns them and that anybody can use them. So as you understand it is normal that local people and tourists were sitting around our boarders. Of course none of them can use our sunbeds and umbrellas as these are property of our hotel and they are exclusively for the needs of our guests. Till 18.00 we have 2 lifeguards around the beach in order to reassure that our guests are not disturbed and that they can swim safely of course. For the sea urchins you know i guess that they are an indication that the waters are clean. Our Lifeguard Chief has made a mapping of our beach in which states where the places that sea urchins exist and he also has removed the majority of them. About the riff it exists but not in the whole extend of the hotel beach. The Watersport chief gives always very precise instructions of where to do canoe or windsurfing so there is no danger for the guests. If the guests disobey the instructions that means that they can become dangerous for themselves and for other swimmers as the riff is in the swimming area of the beach. About the hotels Staff... Our hotel used to be in another chain of hotels and the majority of guests were French. If you have checked the nametags of our staff you would see that it is not only English in which we give basis. Almost everyone from our staff speaks at least 3 languages. As we changed this year to a Club Magic Life our General Manager and the Owner of the hotel decided to do free German courses at the winter before our opening time for our staff in order to help the advanced to remember and the ones that they did not know to learn fast. The lessons shall continue this winter too. As you understand we give basis to German but we would not like to remove people that are working in this hotel for many years due to the fact that they are not speaking good German. Though i can reassure you that all of them understand the basics. About the Sports. About the Fitness center... It is one of the most well equiped Fitness centers we have in Greece. It is mentioned in the CMLTUI site that it is open to public, which is normal as this is not owned by the hotel, it is outsourced. By the concept we have 3 days a week a show and 3 days a party and of course we have life music shows. I wanted just to say that, if there would be a next time which i hope, please come to us in Guest Service. Our job is to hear you and try to find solutions to your problems. I hope that i will have the chance to meet you in the future and i hope that this time we will meet your expectations. Have a nice day.
