Hotel Victoria

The hotel itself is on the main road into Zell am See, but we heard nothing at night (very well insulated rooms and very warm too). The only time we heard noise from the next room was when the fan in the bathroom was on. WiFi is free (although you need to get a code from the reception) as are bath robes for the wellness area. The pool is small (7m) but hardly anyone in it all week. Breakfast was above average (cold spread and bacon/eggs) and dinner was excellent 5/7 nights (average the other 2). The salad buffet is a little small, but the soups were lovely and you could list it as 5-courses (as there was a hot plate with a different offering daily). Service was fast (one time too fast as our mail course came before we'd finished the soup). Room was large and tv channels from all over Europe (BBC Entertainment for example), bathroom a little old fashioned , but thats the only little complaint. I shopped around online for a 4* hotel with wellness for a week during the Dutch & English school holidays and this was the cheapest by far (under 500€ per person) and if I got to Zell again I would stay there for sure. You need a car though as its 4km from Zell town cenre but there is a ski bus 150m from the hotel.
