Wenige Stunden nach Abreise am 2. Januar 2026 aus dem Melia in Alicante kam es bei uns nach dortigem Verzehr von pochierten Lachseiern zu schweren Durchfällen, Erbrechen, hohem Fieber und einem Kreislaufkollaps, der im Krankenhaus in Denia notfallmäßig mit Infusionen und Antibiotika behandelt werden musste. Diagnostiziert wurde eine schwere bakterielle Vergiftung. Das Hotel wünschte gute Besserung. Mehr kam von dort nicht, keine Entschädigung nur der Hinweis, dass wir die einzigen gewesen seien, was offenbar nicht zählt. Ein sehr ungesunder und teurer Start (mit horrenden Krankenhauskosten) ins neue Jahr.
