Hotel Ibis Istanbul

We arrived late in the evening so we just wanted to get a room for the first night close to Atatürk airport. A taxi from there should be around 30 TL (ca. 12 EUR). The hotel itself is absolutely correct, the breakfast is worth the charged amount, the rooms and restaurant are clean as you would expect it. The only disadvantage is the location. It´s hard to walk to the next tram / underground station, however there´s a shuttle service to downtown Istanbul (Sultanahmet and Taksim square) at fixed hours for a very little price. Don´t expect a classical seaside atmosphere although you might have a seaview room, between the hotel and the sea is a multilane road with also heavy traffic. We definitevely would stay there again.
