Dear Guest, Greetings from Eriyadu Island Resort & Spa, Maldives Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback in HolidayCheck.de about your recent visit to Eriyadu. Your valued comments and suggestions are important for us to improve our performance and ensure that all our guests leave having experienced true Eriyadu Moments. Please accept my sincere apologies for the serious inconveniences that you have brought to our attention at the resort facilities. While I have addressed your comments to the team in order to take the necessary steps to meet our guests’ expectations in these areas, let me also take a moment here to update you that the problem about the bed bugs reported by our guests and your neighbors who stayed in 136 was addressed the same day and we did give them a free upgrade to a deluxe category as it was brought to my attention that very moment. Additionally we have also arrested the problem with our pest control experts from Male’. I was personally involved when this incident was reported to our front desk and now the issue has been resolved completely. I did apologize with Mrs. & Mr. Volk at that time and vide this email, I am expressing my heartfelt apologies to you too for the inconvenience caused. Secondly, as you are aware of our ongoing renovation, we are planning to refurbish and renovate all our bungalows by next quarter one by one and hence our superior rooms will be no more musty, dark and shabby. All our deluxe rooms have been renovated already and our 16 standards rooms (new beach view rooms) are still under construction and is going through its final phase of completion. Thirdly, with regard to the beverage pricing, the revision in F&B rates at Eriyadu was not done in last 3 years and as a part of annual price revision the same has been done this year due to high rise in procurement costs at Maldivian Islands where we completely depend on imports for our supplies. This is a normal practice at all islands to run a profitable business while meeting our operational costs to run a resort and I hope you will understand that the import duty charges, raw material costs, food & fuel costs, supply and procurement costs will certainly differ from 2009 to 2015. Sir, I have also noted with concern your overall dissatisfaction and your possible decision not to return Eriyadu again. This is of course of great concern to us and we would like to assure you of our whole team’s efforts and commitment to continuously improve our service quality in all areas. Thank you once again for your feedback and we hope to welcome you back to the island to experience the resort at its best. Yours Sincerely, Vaibhav Garg Head of Operations Eriyadu Island Resort & Spa, Maldives
