Ein schönes, ruhiges Hotel mit allem in unmittelbarer Nähe. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das wunderbare, hilfsbereite und stets freundliche Personal, was in Ägypten nicht selbstverständlich ist. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen. Das Essen war gut und der Service exzellent! Alle Kellner waren stets freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit – es war uns eine Freude, ihnen Trinkgeld zu geben, obwohl wir es nicht erwartet hatten. Besonders in Erinnerung geblieben sind mir die Kellner Bahaa, Mahamed, Yosif und Yahia.
Der einzige Wermutstropfen: Das gut ausgestattete Fitnesscenter ist unerklärlicherweise nur von 9 bis 16 Uhr geöffnet, also genau dann, wenn es heiß ist und alle Gäste am Strand sind. Das bedeutet, dass man nicht wie in anderen Hotels bis 19 Uhr trainieren kann. Die fadenscheinige Ausrede, der Lärm aus dem Fitnesscenter störe die Gäste, war ebenfalls merkwürdig, zumal am Strand fast den ganzen Tag laute Musik gespielt wird.
Der Strand besteht aus einer Mischung aus Sand, kleinen Korallen und Muscheln und könnte häufiger geharkt werden. Badeschuhe sind empfehlenswert. Da sich in unmittelbarer Nähe des Strandes ein Korallenriff befindet, ist dieser durch Seile und Bojen geschützt, sodass längeres Schwimmen nicht möglich ist. Gleiches gilt für den Steg/die Strömungsanlage, die sich in der Nähe der Treppe befindet und ebenfalls durch Seile und Bojen gesichert ist.
Nice, quiet hotel, everything is close. The biggest plus is the great, helpful and always smiling staff, which is not always unusual for Egyptian standards. We enjoyed our holiday. The food was good, and the service was excellent! All the waiters were always smiling, prompt, helpful - a pleasure to hand out tips, even though they were not expected from the staff. I especially remember the waiter Bahaa who was great and also Mahamed, Yosif and Yahia.
Only disappointment was that well-equipped fitness center is illogically only open from 9am to 4pm when is hot and all the guests are on the beach. So, it is not possible to exercise after dark till 7 pm like in other hotels. Silly excuse that the sounds from the fitness center disturbs the guests was also funny, although loud music is played on the beach almost all day.
The beach is mixed, sand, small corals and shells and should be rake more often. I recommend beach shoes & water shoes. Since there is a coral reef a short distance from the beach, it is protected by ropes with buoys, so there is no option of long swimming. The same applies to the molo/jet, ropes and buoys a short distance from the stairs.
