Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives is located within one of the largest naturally shallow lagoons in the Maldives. The unique geography of this lagoon results in clear, calm and shallow waters, with noticeable tidal movements during certain times of the day. This is a natural characteristic of the island and surrounding reef system and, regrettably, it is beyond our control. Understanding that guests travel to the Maldives with expectations of swimming and ocean experiences, we strive to offer alternative opportunities to enjoy the marine environment. For this reason, we provide two complimentary snorkelling trips each day to deeper reef areas, along with complimentary snorkelling equipment, allowing our guests to experience vibrant marine life and deeper waters in a safe and organised manner. Regarding the island terrain, the natural coral base is another inherent feature of this location. While this contributes to the island’s ecosystem, we do recommend the use of reef shoes for comfort and safety, particularly when walking around the island and entering the lagoon. We sincerely regret that these natural aspects of the island affected your enjoyment of the holiday.
