Das Hotel allgemein
The Rectory Lacock is a Boutique Bed & Breakfast in a Grade II listed Victorian building built in 1866. There are also two holiday cottages in the Rectory grounds. The Rectory is in the village of Lacock, residing in 6 acres of private Wiltshire countryside, just a 2-minute leisurely walk from the heart of the medieval National Trust village. Set in a tranquil location, our guests can experience the beauty of Lacock, whilst being able to retreat to the privacy of The Rectory and its extensive private grounds. There is a secure, 24 hr CCTV monitored car park available for our guests. Within the grounds are our two self-catering holiday cottages: Lenton Cottage and Wheeler Cottage. Our cottage guests have the privacy of their own dedicated patio area and a separate private garden. Each cottage has two bedrooms and all the facilities that our guests would expect to find in good quality self-catering accommodation. Converted from the original former stables the two holiday cottages have vaulted ceilings and modern interiors. Both cottages are ideally suited for a couple or a family with young children or business person working in the area. Although the cottages are separate, there is an adjoining hallway so the cottages can be interlinked as one. Situated in the unspoiled medieval village of Lacock there is plenty to see and explore including Lacock Abbey and the beautiful local countryside. There are four pubs in the village all with a different feel and character. Close to Corsham Court and village, Castle Coombe, Bowood House, Bath, Longleat, and Avebury. Slightly further afield is Highclere Castle, Stonehenge, and Marlborough. The beautiful village of Lacock is a firm favourite for film and TV producers due to its notably picturesque streets and historic cottages, all unspoilt by modern alterations. The village has been used as a setting for Downton Abbey, Pride and Prejudice, Cranford, and Harry Potter. More recently, the village was used for the filming the Downton Abbey movie.
