Maisonettes «Polymnia», approved and designated by the Greek National Tourism Organization as "(A) First CLASS", are built in the centre of maritime Kardamyli, only 50 meters away from the sea coast. Kardamyli, capital of Lefktros municipality, is 38km distant from Kalamata. Moreover, it fascinates tourists, not only in winter, but also in summer season, while dominating over the extremely beautiful, with crystal blue water, beaches of Messinian Bay and over the imposing mountain of Taygetus (2.407m height). Worth to be noticed that Kardamyli is constituted as the centre of those, who love walking and climbing mountains, due to the complex footpaths in the mountain region and the known gorges of Vyros and Rintomos. On the whole, Kardamyli keeps 290km distance from Athens.By car, journey endures 4 hours from Athens to Kardamyli (Athens - Kalamata 3 hours and quarter / Kalamata - Kardamyli approximately 40 minutes) In the Athenaeum Bus Station (Kifissos / www.ktel.org), if one goes to Messinian Region, can take the bus, the destination of which is Kardamyli. It daily departures at 12:00p.m. (Athens - Oitylo). The duration of this journey pasts 6 hours. Notice: Departures from Athens to Kalamata / Every 1 hour When going by train, journey from Athens to Kalamata lasts 7 hours and 30 minutes. If one take the plain, the Airport of Kalamata has charters flights from April to October, as far as the foreign passengers are concerned. By car, Kardamyli has 1 hour distance from the Caves of Dyros, 2 hours from Mystra of Sparta and 1 hour from Olympia. It is recommended that Europeans, from North, Western and Central Europe, drive to Italy and take the ferry-boat to Greece (Patras' port). The trip from Patras to Kalamata endures 2 hours and 30 minutes.
