Positive Impressions • The pool and beach service is truly excellent – attentive, quick, and very friendly. • The Asian restaurant stood out, both in terms of food quality and service. Areas of Concern • Crowding: The resort felt too crowded, and sunbeds are placed very close to each other, which diminished the sense of relaxation. • Restaurants: • Flavors: Unfortunately the weakest experience. Service was extremely slow or absent, tables were often dirty, and the atmosphere felt noisy and lacking in refinement. • Fresco: Service was inconsistent. Requests were frequently forgotten, tables were only half-cleared and then neglected, and staff often seemed disengaged. • Ouzo: Service was generally good, but the cleanliness was subpar. Sofas were so visibly dirty that sitting on them felt uncomfortable. • Housekeeping: Cleaning staff often left items lying around in corridors and appeared at unusual hours. For example, at 21:30 someone knocked on our door, waking up our sleeping children, and on another day, turn-down service was attempted at 18:00 while we were inside the room. Such timing created unnecessary discomfort. • Maintenance & Upkeep: Several details gave an impression below 5-star standards, especially considering the price point: a crooked fire emergency sign on the third floor, a protruding elevator sign inside the left elevator that could scratch people, algae accumulation under the bridges, and other small but noticeable signs of neglect. Overall Impression While there were individual highlights, the overall experience unfortunately did not meet the level one would expect from a 5-star resort in this price category. The combination of inconsistent service, cleanliness issues, and visible wear & tear negatively affected our stay. I share this feedback in the hope that it helps you identify areas of improvement, as Ikos clearly has the potential to offer a much higher and more consistent standard.
