our family (me, my wife and two adult daughters) will spend a couple of days in Miami around New Years Eve. We are staying at Coconut Grove and want to spend New Years Eve in Miami Beach at/around the Ocean Drive and the beaches. We are planning to have an early meal in the afternoon at Coconut Grove and then go by Uber/Lyft etc. to the (south) beaches around Ocean Drive to spend New Years Eve there and maybe see some fireworks. Do you think that is a good idea? Is there a problem to walk around this area on that day and to find a spot to sit down. Are there food stalls and bars for takeaway food/drinks? Is it a problem to get in a bar (maybe a block or two from the beach) or are there to much crowds? Thanks for your advice!
