Thank's all for the replies. Schauinsland and their policy really sucks in comparison with TUI and ThomasCook. I have untill this year always travelled to the Caribean with German TUI and was fascinated with the perfection of the arrangements. This year I got persuaded by my travel agent to try SLR since they had the lowest price on the trip to Grand Palladium, which I love from the vacation to the Dominican Republic. Now I truly regret this. SLR and their policy truly SUCKS!!!!!

I am writing this in English since I don't speak German. I am having huge problems with German touroperator Schauinsland Reisen. I have a valid package for 2 weeks All Incl. at Grand Palladium Rivera Maya bound for departure from Berlin TXL via Madrid with IBERIA on May 9th. After having read about the virus pandemic in Mexico I wanted to cancel my reservation with SLR. The problem is that this touroperator wants to charge EUR 195 for the cancellation Why and what for? I know that i.e. German TUI, ThomasCook, FTI etc allow change or cancellation free of charge in light of the pandemic evidence there and warnings from the German Ministry of Foreign affairs for avoiding any unnecessary travel to Mexico. Have You had any problems with SLR or managed to cancel your reservation with SLR free of charge? Thankful for any replies/
