Hotel review archiving

Due to the corona pandemic, travel within 2020/21 was largely restricted or tourism came to a complete standstill in some cases. We all had to experience this painfully. One of the consequences was that few to no hotel reviews could be collected last year. The fewer current (non-archived) reviews available, the more likely it is that a property's statistics will be skewed, leaving potential guests with less meaningful information for their vacation planning.

What is changing?

To take this into account, we decided to stop the automatic archiving of hotel reviews on our pages until further notice. Specifically, this means that we will no longer automatically archive reviews as of May 01, 2021. Even after the expiration of the previous 25 months, the reviews will continue to flow into the statistics / recommendation rate. This means that you can benefit from the existing reviews for longer.

As before, your guests can only submit their hotel reviews for a stay within the last 24 months. Since the HolidayCheck Special Award 2021 has already been awarded, the adjustments do not change the calculation. We will inform you as soon as the criteria for the 2022 Award have been determined.

Make your guests your ambassadors and ask them to give a rating for their stay at your hotel. You can find out how to actively collect ratings here:
