Nonsuch Bay Resort

Nonsuch Bay Resort over on Antigua's eastern quiet side is ideal for the water sport lover of various kinds - sailor, kiteboarder, diver. You can do it all here, and the location on the whimsically named Nonsuch Bay is one that allows for the right marine conditions for each activity. The Bay has light cross winds and there is an instructional school for both novice kiteboarders and new sailors. For those who enjoy diving, you can do that offshore at the nearby islet of Green Island which is also popular for kiteboarding. The instruction is the best you can find anywhere - seasoned pro's from Europe at the kiteboard school, and local Antiguans who know all the wind and water conditions like the back of their hand will guide you well on your introduction to the world of small sailing craft. The Resort has its own small beach and at one side the schools on the lower level while above on a higher elevation is the Resort's restaurant, lounges and bar areas. The Resort is constructed in a series of descending tiers of villa-style accommodation, and some are owned by part-time residents while many of the lower level near the beach are available for guests year-round.

The villa suites: these come in a variety of configurations, we stayed in a two-bed suite with large day room, dining area and kitchen situated centrally and the bedrooms leading separately off from it. Wonderful vistas of the Bay, and privacy and quiet, with well-designed kitchen that you can provision adequately to eat "at home" or choose to go down and eat at the Bay front restaurant which offers breakfast/lunch/dinner menus.
