Milford, southwest of New Haven on Long Island Sound, is known as the "small city with a big heart," and is the sixth oldest town in Connecticut. The SpringHill Suites Milford is one mile from the headquarters of both Bic Corporation and Subway Corporation, and is two miles from Silver Sands State Park, where legend notes that Captain Kidd buried his treasure. Other nearby attractions include the Peabody Museum of Natural History at Yale University, famous for its Great Hall of Dinosaurs; and Lighthouse Point Park, a recreation area on the coast facing Long Island Sound and including the New Haven Lighthouse built in 1845.
    The three-story SpringHill Suites Milford offers 88 spacious studio suites, each with a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, sink and microwave oven, large, well-lit work desk, voice mail and complimentary high- speed Internet access.
